Brunch

Brunch...such an interesting idea. Why don't just call it a late breakfast? And why do we feel so refined when we think about going to brunch, or making brunch? It definitely sounds much more enticing than a "late breakfast." Well, I'm going to the grocery store now to buy supplies for the brunch that I am anticipating with friends today.

Screenplay Update (for the few interested parties)

I am in the second stages of revision, attempting to have this screenplay ready submitted to film companies no later than June. This may not be feesible, as the band thing has taken alot of creative time, but hopefully the goal will be achieved.

Friday

Friday is usually my favorite weekday. It communicates that the work week is coming to an end, and people are usually in a calmer mood than they are on Mondays. Of course, Saturday is the best day of all. Very little agenda. You almost feel like you're on vacation for a few hours, as I tend to get up early and savor the quite of the morning while the rest of the world is still in bed. And so, I'm going to try and pretend, to experience the tranquility of Saturday morning, even though it is only Friday.

..by the way

...it seems like Mowgli is a little too interested in my affairs. Who knew that a cat could care so much about my life.

Hmmm

Well, it seems like I seem to forget about this little blog. I remember every once in a while that it's been...well...a while since I made a post. I've been so focused on writing other things that it just seems like this poor blog gets forgotten. Have to try to remedy that.

Finally back

Wow! I can't believe it has been so long since I made a post. Now, I have been writing, that's for sure. I'm in the middle of revising my first screenplay and am working on a second, I've also been writing some songs - a little writer's ADD, I suppose. Hopefully the consistency will resume.

The Fur Can Be Deceiving

He is tall and dark, shiny and sleek, always looking for trouble. She, on the other hand, is light and fluffy, awkward and tender. While you would think that two felines would be similar in nature, Mowgli and Punky have taught me that they are unique as any two people are. Mowgli is quite the combination, having the body of a cat, yet the heart of an old dog, playing fetch, bathings himself in the sink, and growling when threatened. Punky, however, is a darling cat to the core. She lounges around the house and disappears for hours at time. I have come to ponder the lives of these two creatures and how much like humans they are. Unlike canines, you must earn their love, such as the case is with most human beings. Awareness of this human trait has made me more conscious of the need to extend love and grace unconditionally. I thank these two felines for teaching me about myself.
